Giza pyramids tour price: what 18 guided days cost, and what is inside each fare

People often read the fares on a plateau listing as if they were entry prices, and then wonder why one day costs $30 and another $103. They are not entry prices. It is the difference between seeing three large stone shapes and understanding why the Great Pyramid, the Sphinx and the Valley Temple of Khafre sit where they sit. On $60 the guide is specified as a female guide, which the listing presents as the point of the tour for solo women, couples and families.

The third part is how many places the day reaches. Giza and the Sphinx are one stop. Saqqara, Memphis and Dahshur are separate sites to the south, and reaching them turns a four-hour morning into an eight-hour day: $72 covers Giza, the Sphinx, Saqqara and Memphis, and $103 adds the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid at Dahshur. More ground means more driving, more hours of the guide, and usually a meal in the middle.

The fourth part is food. Lunch is written into $84, $60, $60 and $70; breakfast is written into $66. On the flight days the listings go further and describe lunch at a restaurant with views of the pyramids. The fifth part is anything with an engine or an animal attached: a camel ride, a quad bike, a felucca on the Nile, a microlight above the plateau. Once you can see those five parts on a listing, the Giza pyramids tour price stops being a number and becomes a specification you can compare.
